    on sector skills development. Coordinate and manage the representativity of the department in

    serving at TETA and other skills development structures for feedback and alignment of priorities.

    Facilitate and compile sector skills development reports, pertaining to TETA and other key Sector

    Education and Training Authorities (SETAs), provinces, agencies and Centres of Development

    development of transport related qualifications to meet both the Transport sector and

    identify skills that need to be developed through international training programmes, exchange

    Minister Inkosi Buthelezi to launch the Policy on the Prevention and

    Elimination of Harassment and Violence in the Public Service

    Public Service and Administration Minister, Inkosi Mzamo Buthelezi, will officially

    launch the Policy on the Prevention and Elimination of Harassment and Violence in

    the Public Service World of Work, on 3 December 2024, at the East London

    Convention centre, in the Eastern Cape Province.

    The Policy responds to the high levels of mental health and human rights issues that

    are directly attributable to the prevalence of harassment in the world of work. It is

    informed by the Labour Relations Act, the Employment Equity Act and international

    conventions, such as the International Labour Organization Convention No. 190

    (C190).

    The revised Policy now includes a broadened definition of the “workplace” to the “world

    of work”, which is not limited to premises, but covers all instances where employees

    might be on official duty. Moreover, the Policy defines different types and has 11

    procedures for standardisation. It emphasises confidentiality, encourages the

    establishment of anti-harassment committees, and zero tolerance for non-action by

    supervisors and responsible parties.

    The launch will be hosted by the DPSA Minister, Inkosi Mzamo Buthelezi, with support

    from the Office of the Premier in the Eastern Cape Province, with the active

    participation of key stakeholders, including the National Department of Employment & Labour, Global Affairs Canada (GAC), Cowater International and the International

    Labour Organization (ILO.
